Orleans Parish School Board to Hold Series of Virtual Community Meetings Regarding Superintendent Search

Jan, 2022

Meetings will be held on January 10 and 11 via Zoom

The Orleans Parish School Board, in partnership with executive search firm Greenwood/Asher & Associates, will be holding a series of virtual community meetings on January 10 and 11.

G/A&A will host two days of sessions broken up into four blocks, with two virtual meetings simultaneously at 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Each virtual meeting will be one hour in length. This first set of community forums will help the Board and G/A&A form the basis of the job description for potential candidates while also helping inform the line of questions for the candidates and helping highlight the district’s current state and plans.

Originally scheduled to be held in person, the meetings were transitioned to virtual ones in accordance with NOLA Public Schools COVID guidelines. More community engagement meetings are in the works and will be announced in the coming weeks, and should COVID numbers improve those meetings could be held in person.
