The superintendent is one of the most important leaders in our community. It is vital to have a community voice and input in the process.
Ethan Ashley and Olin Parker
To help spread the word about the upcoming eight virtual community input sessions, current superintendent search committee chair, and past Orleans Parish School Board President Ethan Ashley and current president Olin Parker had a letter to the editor published in Friday’s (January 28) edition of The Times-Picayune.
In the letter, the two address the importance of gathering community feedback in order to help make the best choice possible for NOLA Public Schools.
“To find the transformational, equity-minded superintendent that our city needs, we’re asking for your help. We need to hear from parents, educators, faith and community leaders, and anyone invested in the success of the youth of New Orleans,” they wrote.
